Ordering & Returning

Absolutely. We are available from 8:00am-5:00pm (UK time) Monday to Friday, and will happily process your order over the telephone if you’d prefer to place it this way. You will be asked for payment details, so please have these ready.
If you would like us to change the billing address on your order, please email support@mrsbowtie.com asking to have these details changed. Please include your full name, order number and the correct billing address.

If you need to change your shipping address, you will need contact us by email (support@mrsbowtie.com), telephone (020 8050 8060) or Live Chat via MrsBowTie.com, where we will need to cancel your order and place your order again with the correct shipping address.
It may be possible to amend your order if requested early enough, particularly if it involves removing an item or choosing a different style. You should contact Customer Services as soon as possible on  020 8050 8060 or at support@mrsbowtie.com (please note our opening times).

Upon placing your order and the payment process being completed, you should automatically receive a confirmation email from us. Should you not receive this, please be sure to check your Spam/Junk mail folders in case it has been delivered here in error.

We’re sorry you’d like to return your item, but understand sometimes it just isn’t what you’re looking for on this occasion. We will happily accept items back for a refund or exchange, but we ask that you first read out Returns Policy (we know it’s boring, but it will explain a lot).

If you are happy that you comply with the conditions outlined within this, please complete the Returns Request Form included in the webpage and submit it to us. We will then authorise the request and send further instructions on where to return the goods to.

Items can be returned for a refund, or store credit. Unfortunately, due to the extensive range of products we have, we don't offer exchanges. Please visit our Returns page to understand how to return items.

Please allow up to 3 working days for your refund to be processed. Once we issue your refund, it is up to your bank/payment provider to return the funds to your account. This can take an additional 48 hours.

Unfortunately, we cannot fulfil this request. The packaging is essential to ensure that the product remains undamaged from the time it leaves us to the time it reaches you. Couriers will not accept responsibility for any damage caused during transit, and we never want our customers to receive items that aren’t in the same amazing condition they left us in.

For this reason, all products being returned must be returned in their original packaging. If we receive items for a refund without their original packaging, we withhold the right to refuse a refund based on disregard for our Returns Policy.


Absolutely! We have a lot of international customers, who receive their orders with FedEx. However, due to circumstances out of our control, there are a number of countries we do not deliver to. The reasons for this can range from high customs charges to economic sanctions. For a full list of countries we ship too, please visit the Shipping Information page.

Tax laws differ from country to country and sometimes your order may be subject to local tax or import duty. We have tried to help estimate what these may be by providing an Import Duty Calculator on our Shipping Information page.

Additional fees such as customs charges may also apply. This is the responsibility of the customer and is out of our control. Under no circumstances will Mrs Bow Tie refund or pay for these fees and it is the customer’s responsibility to confirm what charges there may be prior to placing any order with Mrs Bow Tie.

You will receive a despatch notification when your order has left our packing department and begun its journey to you. If you have not received this, please check you Junk/Spam emails to check it has not mistakenly been added here.

Domestic orders (United Kingdom – including Northern Ireland) are sent using either DPD or Royal Mail.

All international orders (this includes Republic of Ireland, and EU members) are sent through FedEx.

If you are a UK customer and would like us to specifically send with either DPD or Royal Mail, please specify which one and the reason in the “Comments” section of your order (e.g. Please send with Royal Mail as DPD struggles to find my address”).

This all depends on what delivery option you’ve selected. Your order will always been despatched in accordance with your delivery option, and any delays incurred by the courier are out of our control.

As we work from Monday-Friday, orders are not processed or fulfilled over the weekend. Orders placed with Guaranteed Next Working Day delivery over the weekend will be made and processed on the Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Please keep in mind that the number of days estimated are working days and therefore do not include Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays, or public holidays.

Unfortunately not all of our designs are suitable to be made as a self-tie. This could be down to the fabric, the shape or how they look when they’re folded. Ultimately, we weren’t happy with the end result and we don’t want to provide you with anything we wouldn’t be proud to wear ourselves.

Absolutely. All of our products are made in-house and there should be no reason why we can’t make a children’s bow tie in the same fabric and pattern as an adults.

Should you wish to do this, simply order any kids bow tie in the size you’d like and specify in the comments (this will appear at checkout) what pattern you would like it made in. (e.g. I would like this to be made in Albany in Grey).

Unfortunately, we only make kids bow ties available as standard pre-tied.

Certainly not, we’re more than happy to design and make a bow tie in the flag of any country. Our talented designers will get to work on designing it, we will then show you a digital image of what it will look like, and then we proceed to make it. We don’t treat this as a custom order, so all of our normal Returns Policies are still in place.
Yes, we do. At a cost of £1.00 per swatch, you are able to purchase as many swatches as you like to colour-match the products or check the fabric. On each product you should find the option that says “Fabric Sample (£1.00)” that you can purchase like a regular order.
Some styles of our products are priced slightly higher than the standard product, and this can be for a number of reasons. Usually this is because a certain style may require more fabric, more time or more detail to manufacture.

At Mrs Bow Tie, most of our pocket squares come pre-folded. This means that we fold the fabric into the requested shape and sew it into a cardboard slip to hold its position. The card then neatly slides into the pocket of a jacket or blazer, with the fabric fold showing.

Most of our customers love this timesaving design, which allows them to have the perfectly folded pocket square without anyone knowing they haven’t done it themselves, but many others still prefer to try themselves. If so, you should purchase a handkerchief/unfolded pocket square, which is loose fabric.

An unfolded pocket square is essentially a handkerchief. As our pocket squares usually come pre-folded in cardboard, we refer to our handkerchiefs as unfolded pocket squares.
Our handkerchiefs measure 30cm x 30cm (11.8 inches x 11.8 inches).

It is rare that we can’t provide a pocket square to match your bow tie, so this may be an error on the website or we may not have updated that page yet. In some cases, the pattern you’d like may not be available in the fold of pocket square you’d like, and this is usually due to a manufacturing complication.

Absolutely. Based in Hampshire, in the South of England, our team of skilled staff make all of our ties, bow ties, and pocket squares from a piece of fabric to the finished product. Even our packaging is made in England!
We do. We offer standard gift-wrapping, an elegant black and brown design, all year round. In the run-up to Christmas, we also have festive wrapping paper available. These can be selected in your Shopping Cart and will cost just £3.00.
