Why is cork so good for the environment?
Cork is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. It also comes from the bark of cork oak trees found across the Mediterranean (mostly Portugal), which means the bark can be stripped off and turned into cork without killing or cutting down the tree. A fresh layer of bark will grow again.
